Kent County   Football  Association               The club was formed 12 years ago by three friends - Kevin Wood, Steve Tull and Martin Harrison. They formed links with Old Oak FC and in 1997 entered the Medway News Youth League as Old Oak Juniors. The Club gained success and decided that its future should be as an independent club. So in 1998 the club left Old Oak FC and became Oak Athletic FC. The club is now one of the largest and most respected junior clubs in the Swale and Medway area. In February 2009 the Club was awarded full FA Charter Standard status.In the 2009/10 season the Club is fielding 10 youth teams in the Medway News Youth League and 2 Adult teams in the Medway Messenger Sunday Football Leage. In addition the Club will be establishing a new Under 6 team and recruiting players for an Under 14 Team. The Club's aim is to provide the young people of Sittingbourne with the opportunity to play organised football in a safe and controlled environment. The Club also aims to improve skills and quality of play and to provide all its players with an outlet into a good level of adult football.
